Swimming pool liners are usually made from vinyl, and while they're great for keeping the pool water in, that same durability makes them extremely hard to clean. Having makeup foundation stains on your liner can be a frustrating problem to fix.

Oxalic acid is one of the most effective ways to remove foundation stains from swimming pool liners. You can purchase oxalic acid powder from a home improvement store. Wear protective gloves, mix the powder with water to create a paste, then apply the paste to stained area. Let it sit for a few minutes, then scrub it off with a brush. Rinse the area with clean water before allowing it to dry.
Vinegar is an effective cleaner for many surfaces, including swimming pool liners. Mix equal parts white vinegar and water in a spray bottle, then spray the solution onto the stained area. Let it soak for 15 minutes, then use a brush or sponge to scrub it away. Rinse the area with clean water and allow it to air dry.
Baking soda is yet another effective cleaner for swimming pool liners. Combine 1 cup of baking soda with 1/2 cup of lemon juice to create a paste. Apply the paste to the stained area and let it sit for about 10 minutes. Scrub the area with a brush or sponge, then rinse it with clean water. Allow the area to air dry.
