Remove Foundation Makeup Stains from Shorts Quickly & Easily

How To Clean Foundation Stains from Shorts
- Gather supplies. You will need a few household items to get started: mild laundry detergent, baking soda, white vinegar, and a clean cloth.
- Mix ¼ cup of baking soda with 1 tablespoon of water to create a paste.
- Apply the paste to the stained area of the shorts. Let it sit for 10 minutes.
- Use a damp cloth to gently rub the paste into the stain.
- Wash the shorts. Place them in the washing machine with a mild detergent. Run a cold cycle and avoid using any type of bleach or fabric softener.
- If the stain is still visible after wash cycle, mix 1 tablespoon of white vinegar with ½ cup of water. Dip a clean cloth into the mixture and dab at the stain.
- Allow the shorts to air dry.
Additional Tips
- Make sure to check the care tag on your shorts before using any of the liquids mentioned above, particularly the vinegar.
- If possible, treat any foundation stains as soon as you notice them. The longer you wait, the harder it may be to get them out.
- If the stain remains after trying all of the steps above, consider taking your shorts to a dry cleaner.
