Step 1: Pretreat the Stain with a Cleaning Solution

Start by mixing ¼ teaspoon of dishwashing liquid with two cups of warm water until sudsy. Now dip a soft cloth into the mixture and gently dab onto the stain. Make sure to dab and not rub, as rubbing may worsen the situation. Let the solution stand for 5 minutes before moving onto the next step.

Step 2: Scrub the Stain Away

After giving cleaning solution some time to work its magic, use a damp cloth and gently scrub the area until the foundation creates a lather. Make sure to use light strokes as to not damage the material. If the lather starts drying out, spray some warm water on the area to reactivate it, then keep scrubbing until it’s removed.

Step 3: Rinse and Dry

Now that the majority of the foundation is gone, rinse off the area with cool water and a damp cloth. Finally, take a dry soft cloth and pat the area until completely dry. You’ve now successfully removed the foundation stain—congratulations!
