Though parkas are usually quite durable and easy to maintain, foundation stains can be a challenge to remove. Whether the foundation stains are fresh or dried in, they can sometimes seem impossible to remove without damaging the parka's material. However, with the right supplies and steps, you can get your parka back to sparkling clean again.

What You Need:

  • Mild laundry detergent
  • White vinegar
  • Old toothbrush
  • Water

Steps:

  1. First, create a cleaning solution of mild laundry detergent mixed with 2 parts water and 1 part white vinegar. Test the solution on an inconspicuous area of the parka to ensure it won't discolor the material.
  2. Next, use an old toothbrush to scrub the stained area with solution. Pay special attention to edges of the stain.
  3. Then, rinse the parka with cold water. Ensure all traces of the cleaning solution have been removed.
  4. Finally, lay parka flat to dry or hang it up until it is completely dry.

With these quick and easy steps, your parka will be as good as new!
