Start by gently blotting the stained area with a damp cloth. Do not scrub or rub fabric, as this may spread the stain further and damage the garment.
Use a pre-treater to spot treat stain. This will help loosen the foundation so that it is easier to remove later.
Wash the garment using cold water and a mild detergent. Avoid using hot water, as this can set stain even further into the fabric.
Once the garment has been washed, rinse it thoroughly and allow it to air dry. Do not put the garment in the dryer, as this can cause the stain to become even more difficult to remove.
If the stain is still present after washing and drying the garment, repeat steps 2 through 4. If the stain still remains, you may need to use a stronger detergent or spot-treating solution.
To further protect your outerwear against foundation stains, consider applying a waterproofing spray or sealant. Doing so can help keep your garment looking pristine for longer.
