The first step is to make sure your shoes are wet. This will help to remove excess foundation from the surface of the shoe. Fill a bucket or sink with warm water, and add a generous portion of dishwashing liquid. Once the soap and water are mixed, add your shoes to the mixture and let them soak for 15-20 minutes.
After the shoes have soaked, take out the shoes and use a soft cloth or sponge to scrub off any residue foundation. Using a gentle circular motion will be the most effective.
For difficult foundation stains around seams and grooves in shoe, use a toothbrush to manually scrub the area. Make sure to use a soft-bristled toothbrush and be careful not to damage the shoe.
When finished scrubbing, rinse off the Nike shoes with clean water, then pat dry with a soft towel. If some stains persist, pour a spoonful of baking soda onto a damp cloth and gently rub the stained areas. Finally, let the shoes air dry completely before wearing.
