The first step is to vacuum the Macramé. This will help to remove any loose dirt or dust that may be stuck to the fabric. Be sure to use a brush attachment with a soft bristles to avoid damaging the fabric.
Once you have vacuumed the Macramé, you'll need to prepare a cleaning solution. To make it, mix 1 tablespoon of detergent with 1 cup of warm water. Place the solution in a spray bottle and lightly mist the stained area.
For tougher foundation stains, you can try applying rubbing alcohol to the stained area. Dip a clean cloth into the rubbing alcohol and then gently rub the stain until it begins to fade. If necessary, repeat process until the stain has been removed.
Finally, rinse the stained area with cold water to remove any of the cleaning solution or rubbing alcohol. Allow the Macramé to air dry before re-hanging.
With these four easy steps, you can easily remove foundation stains from your Macramé wall hangings. Just remember to vacuum piece first, followed by using a cleaning solution and/or rubbing alcohol. Finally, be sure to rinse the area with cold water and allow it to air dry before re-hanging.
