Step 1: Remove Loose Debris

Start by removing any loose debris from affected area. This will help you identify and focus on the dirt that is stuck in foundation. Use a brush, putty knife, broom, or leaf blower to get rid of the top layer of debris.

Step 2: Mix A Cleansing Solution

Mix up a cleansing solution of equal parts white vinegar and warm water. You can also add about a cup of baking soda for extra cleaning power. Put this solution into a spray bottle and spray generously over stained area.

Step 3: Scrub & Rinse

Once you have sprayed cleansing solution, it’s time to give the area a good scrubbing. Use a scrub brush with stiff bristles to work the solution into the affected area. Scrub vigorously in a circular motion until all of dirt and debris are loosened. Once you’re done scrubbing, rinse the entire area with clean water.

Additional Tips

  • You may need to repeat steps 2 and 3 several times to get rid of stubborn foundation stains.
  • If the solution does not seem to be working, try adding a little bit of dish soap or laundry detergent to it.
  • To prevent future stains, seal the foundation as soon as possible with an appropriate waterproof sealant.
