First, begin by mixing 2 tsp of mild detergent with 1 liter of cold water. Make sure that the detergent is completely dissolved in the water before you apply it to the stain. Dip a clean cloth into the solution and dab it onto stained area until it's saturated.
Let the solution sit on the fabric for about 15 minutes before rinsing it off with cold water. Next, add some oxygen-based stain remover to a clean cloth and dab it onto the stain. Allow the stain remover to work its magic for about 30 minutes before rinsing it off with cold water.
Next, it's time to soak the item of clothing in white vinegar. Fill a sink or large bowl with 2 liters of cold water and add 1 cup of white vinegar. Place the item of clothing in the mixture and let it soak for at least 1 hour. Once the time is up, rinse off the item of clothing with cold water.
If the stain is still present after following the steps above, then it's time to break out the baking soda. Sprinkle some baking soda directly onto stain and allow it to sit for 10 minutes. Take a damp cloth and rub it on the stained area to help work baking soda in. Rinse off the fabric with cold water and voila! The stain should be gone.
Cleaning foundation stains from lace can be tricky, but with the right techniques, it can be done! Pre-treat stained area with detergent and oxygen-based stain remover, then soak the fabric in white vinegar and use baking soda as a last resort. With these tips, you'll be able to get rid of those embarrassing foundation stains and keep your lace looking its best.
