If you've ever put on makeup and accidentally got some on your Keds, then you know how difficult it can be to remove the makeup stains. Fortunately, with the right cleaning technique, you can get rid of those stubborn foundation stains. Here are the steps you should follow:
Take a dry cloth and blot stained area gently, working in a circular motion. This will help pull up some of the foundation and reduce the size of the stain. You may need to repeat this step several times before moving on.
Once foundation has been blotted away, apply a specialized stain remover to the affected area. Look for one that is designed specifically for synthetic fabrics. Using a cotton swab or a brush, gently work the stain remover into the stain. Allow remover to sit on the fabric for a few minutes.
Once the stain remover has had a chance to set, launder the Keds as you usually would. Make sure to check the label to make sure you're using the proper setting and water temperature for the shoes. Pay close attention to the stain while laundering the Keds to make sure that it is completely removed.
If the stain is still visible after laundering, repeat steps one through three until the stain is completely gone. It may take several attempts, but eventually, you should be able to remove the foundation stain.
By following the steps outlined above, you can easily remove foundation stains from your Keds. With some patience and the right cleaning products, you can keep your shoes looking like new!
