Foundation is one of the most used makeup products, and yet it often has a tendency to rub off onto clothing, furniture and other surfaces. If it gets onto your flip flops, the good news is that it can be removed with a few simple cleaning methods.
One of the easiest and most effective ways to remove foundation from your flip flops is to use a mild detergent. All you need to do is mix some warm water and a small amount of detergent in a basin or sink, then swish your flip flops around in the mixture. Leave them for around 10 minutes, then rinse well with cold water. This method should work for light foundation stains, but if the marks are darker or more persistent, you may need to scrub them gently with an old toothbrush.
Another reliable way to eliminate foundation stains from flip flops is to use a solution of rubbing alcohol and water. Mix equal parts of both in a bowl, dip an old cloth or sponge into the liquid, then blot at the stained area. Keep using fresh cloths until the stain is gone, then rinse the flip flops with cold water. Make sure not to use too much rubbing alcohol, as this can damage material and make it look discoloured.
White vinegar is one of best natural solutions for removing foundation stains from flip flops. Simply mix equal parts of white vinegar and water in a bowl, dip a cloth or sponge into the liquid, then dab it onto the stain. Be sure to rinse your flip flops thoroughly afterwards. This method should work for most foundation stains, but it's best to test it on a small area first to make sure that it doesn't damage the material.
