Foundation can easily leave unsightly spots on fabric like flannel. To prevent this from happening, use a tissue or blotting paper to dab off any excess foundation before it can set in. If you already have foundation stains that need to be removed, do not worry! We have provided a step-by-step guide below to help you quickly and easily clean them up:
Before you begin, make sure you have all required supplies gathered and ready:
In small bowl, mix a few drops of dish soap and warm water until you get a soapy solution. This will be used to gently scrub away stubborn foundation stains.
Using the stiff-bristled brush or old toothbrush, gently scrub the stained area with the soapy cleaning solution. Take your time and be careful not to damage the flannel fabric. Continue scrubbing until the stain is completely gone.
Once foundation stain has been removed, rinse the area with warm water and dab it dry with a clean towel. Be sure to avoid rubbing the fabric, as it may cause the material to pill.
Finally, launder the flannel using liquid laundry detergent according to the care tag instructions. Line dry it or tumble dry it on low heat. Congratulations, your foundation stains should now be completely gone!
