What You’ll Need

  • Soft cloths
  • A toothbrush or soft brush
  • Spot cleaning detergent such as Persil
  • White vinegar

Step 1: Blot the Stain with a Soft Cloth

Start by blotting away as much of foundation as possible with a dry, soft cloth. Be careful not to rub the stain, as this may cause it to spread further.

Step 2: Apply Spot Cleaner or White Vinegar

Using a clean cloth, apply spot cleaning detergent directly onto the stain. Alternatively, you can dab some white vinegar onto the stain. Allow either solution to soak into the fabric for up to five minutes.

Step 3: Gently Scrub with a Toothbrush

Using a soft-bristled toothbrush or similar type of brush, gently scrub the area in a circular motion. Be careful not to press too hard on the fabric or scrub in one spot for too long, as this could damage material.

Step 4: Rinse and Wipe Clean

Once you’re finished scrubbing, use a damp cloth to rinse the area and then dab spot with a dry cloth until it’s completely dry.

Step 5: Repeat if Necessary

If you find that the stain is still present, repeat steps 1–4 until it is completely gone. Keep in mind that certain types of foundation may take more than one attempt to remove.

Additional Tips

  • Always test a cleaning solution on an inconspicuous part of the garment first to ensure it won’t cause any damage.
  • If the foundation stain is still present after multiple attempts at removing it, consider taking your Fendi item to a professional dry cleaner.
