Removing a foundation stain from your denim can be tricky, especially since many traditional stain removal techniques can't break down the makeup's oils and pigments. Fortunately, there are some simple steps you can take to make sure the stain is gone in no time! Here's what to do:

Step 1 - Apply Soap

First, take a mild detergent or liquid soap and rub it gently into stained area. Be sure to use a small amount of soap - too much can cause fabric to fade. Leave soap on for about five minutes, then wash the area with cool water. Repeat this process until the foundation stain is gone.

Step 2 - Pretreat with Vinegar

Vinegar is great at removing tough stains, including those left by foundation. Simply mix one part vinegar with two parts warm water and pretreat the stained area before tossing it in wash. Let it sit for about 10 minutes before washing with cool water, and repeat this process if necessary.

Step 3 - Use a Stain Remover

If the stain has still not disappeared, try using a specialized stain remover, such as OxiClean. Apply the product to the stained area, rub it in with a soft cloth and let it sit for 20 minutes. Then rinse the garment with cool water and launder as normal. The stain should be gone!

These three steps should help you get rid of foundation stains from denim in no time. If you follow them carefully, you'll be sure to have your favorite pair of jeans looking as good as new.
