Before attempting to wash your stained piece of clothing, you'll need to pre-treat it. Begin by mixing ½ teaspoon of liquid detergent with 1 cup of warm water. Stir the mixture until it becomes sudsy. Then, use a clean cloth or sponge to apply the sudsy mixture to the stained area.
Once you've applied detergent mixture, rinse the stained area with cold water. Afterward, dampen the stained area with cold water again and then apply a spot stain remover. Use a scrub brush to work the stain remover into the fabric using circular motions.
Once you're finished working the stain remover into the fabric, wash the fabric in warm water with the same liquid detergent you used in step one. Once you've washed it, air dry your fabric on a flat surface.
