Foundation stains on cotton chambray fabric can be some of the toughest to remove. You need the right combination of ingredients and techniques to break up the stain and wash it away without damaging the fabric. But don't despair - you can take care of pesky foundation stains in just a few easy steps.
Materials You'll Need
- Dish detergent
- Rubbing alcohol
- White vinegar
- Soft scrub brush
- Clean cloth
Instructions
- Mix 1 teaspoon of dish detergent with 1 cup of warm water. Dip a clean cloth into mixture and dab it onto the soiled area to moisten the stain.
- Sprinkle rubbing alcohol onto the dampened area and let it sit for about 10 minutes. This will help to break up the stain.
- Using a soft scrub brush, gently rub area in a circular motion to work the detergent and rubbing alcohol into the fabric.
- Rinse fabric with water and then apply a mixture of one part white vinegar and two parts warm water. Blot the fabric with a clean cloth to absorb the liquid.
- After blotting, rinse fabric again and lay it flat to dry.
