When it comes to removing foundation stains from Chantilly lace, there are a few methods you can try. Before getting started, make sure you test the method on an inconspicuous area of the fabric first.

Method 1: Dish Detergent and Water

Mix one part liquid dish detergent with one part warm water. Gently dab the stained area with the solution and then step back and let it sit for 10-15 minutes. Afterwards, rinse the area with clean lukewarm water and blot dry with a clean cloth.

Method 2: Hydrogen Peroxide and Water

Mix one part hydrogen peroxide with two parts warm water. Gently dab the stained area with the solution and then step back and let it sit for 10-15 minutes. Afterwards, rinse the area with clean lukewarm water and blot dry with a clean cloth.

Method 3: Ammonia and Water

Mix one part ammonia with two parts warm water. Gently dab the stained area with the solution and then step back and let it sit for 10-15 minutes. Afterwards, rinse the area with clean lukewarm water and blot dry with a clean cloth.

Additional Tips

  • Always use lukewarm water when rinsing the stained area. Hot water can damage fabric.
  • Do not rub or scrub the fabric. Rubbing can spread the stain and damage the fabric.
  • If the stain persists, try soaking the fabric in a mixture of one part dish detergent and one part ammonia in lukewarm water.
  • Once the stain is removed, you can further protect the fabric by applying a stain guard.
