What You'll Need

- Cold water
- A soft-bristled scrub brush or sponge
- A drop of liquid dish soap (optional)
Instructions
- Treat stained area of the cardigan with a mild detergent. Let it sit for a few moments.
- Dampen a sponge or scrub brush in cold water and gently rub the stained area until it starts to lighten. Focus on the edges of the stain.
- If the stain is stubborn, try adding a drop of liquid dish soap to the sponge and scrubbing the area.
- Once the stain is gone, rinse the area with cold water until it's all gone.
- Allow the cardigan to air dry.
Tips
- Always test your detergent on a small, hidden part of the cardigan first to make sure it won't damage the fabric.
- If the stain has set in, try soaking the cardigan in a mixture of mild detergent and cold water before you scrub it.
- If you're concerned about damaging fabric, take the cardigan to a professional cleaner.
