The first step is to create a baking soda paste using a small bowl. Start by mixing a few tablespoons of baking soda with enough warm water to make a paste. Then, gently rub the paste over the stain until it is completely covered.
Let the mixture sit overnight. This will give the baking soda time to do its work and break down the foundation stain so that it can be easily washed away.
The next morning, use a damp cloth or cotton fabric to remove the paste. Make sure to blot fabric and not rub it, as this will spread the foundation stain further.
Once the paste has been removed, it’s time to treat the stain with vinegar. Combine equal parts white vinegar and warm water and add a few drops of dish soap. Dip a soft brush into the mixture and gently scrub the stain in circular motions until the stain has faded. For stubborn stains, you may need to repeat this process a few times.
Finally, rinse the area with warm water and allow the canvas to dry completely. If needed, you can spot clean area with a gentle detergent. Once the canvas is dry, you should be left with a foundation stain-free canvas!
