To pre-treat the stain, first make sure that you let the fabric cool off after wearing it. Any heat from body may cause stain to set in, making it harder to remove.
Once the fabric is cooled, apply a few drops of liquid detergent or laundry pre-treatment directly onto the stain. Let detergent sit for about 5 minutes so it can break down the oily foundation.
Next, fill a bucket with hot (not boiling) water and add a tablespoon of Borax powder. Mix until the powder is dissolved. Place the article of clothing into the bucket and make sure it is fully submerged. Let the fabric soak for around 15-20 minutes.
Take out the clothing and rinse off the pre-treatment and soap mixture with cold water. Use a white cloth to blot away any excess moisture. Check the stained area of the clothing to see if the stain has been removed.
With a few simple steps and ingredients, you can easily remove foundation stains from your business attire. When trying to remove a stubborn foundation stain, it is important to act fast and use proper materials to ensure a successful mission.
