Steps to Remove Foundation Stains from Brocade
- Create a baking soda paste. Using equal parts baking soda and water, mix the two together until forming a thick paste. Set aside.
- Apply surface cleaner to the stain. Take some surface cleaner and using a sponge, apply it evenly to stained area.
- Gently rub the baking soda paste into the stain. Using a soft sponge, gently rub baking soda paste into the foundation-stained area.
- Rinse the sponge and repeat steps 2 and 3. Rinse and wring out the sponge and then reapply the surface cleaner and baking soda paste until the stain has been removed.
- Rinse with clean water. Once all of the foundation stain is gone, rinse the area with clean water to remove any remaining residue.
Additional Tips
- When creating the baking soda paste, be sure to use enough water and baking soda so that the paste isn't too thick. The paste should be easy to apply.
- When rubbing the baking soda paste into stain, do so gently. Rubbing too hard or too vigorously can cause damage to the brocade fabric.
- If the stain is still present after following all of the steps, it may be necessary to enlist the assistance of a professional cleaning service.
