Step 1: Soak Your Ballet Flats in Warm Water and Detergent

Fill a clean sink with warm water and add a small amount of detergent. Place your ballet flats in sink and soak for several minutes. This will help loosen any foundation that is clinging to the fabric.

Step 2: Apply a Suede Brush to Loosen Stains Further

After soaking your flats, use a suede brush to gently scrub the stained areas. Be sure to go in one direction and not to use too much pressure. If you are careful, this should remove most of the stain.

Step 3: Rinse with Warm Water

When you have finished brushing the stain, rinse the shoes with warm water until all of soap has been removed. Then, take a clean cloth and dry the shoes completely.

Step 4: Apply Stain Remover

If previous steps were not successful, you may need to apply a stain remover. Make sure to test the product on an inconspicuous area before applying it directly to the stain. Apply the stain remover according to the instructions on package.

Step 5: Air-Dry and Reapply as Necessary

Once you have applied the stain remover, let your shoes air-dry. If there is still some stain after they have dried, you may need to repeat the process. With any luck, your ballet flats will be free from foundation stains in no time!
