Foundation stains on an Alexander McQueen garment may be caused by makeup, sweat or natural body oils. There are several ways to tackle the problem. You can try them out one by one until you find the one that works best for you.
Club soda is an incredibly versatile cleaner. Simply pour some on a clean cloth and dab the stain. The acidity of soda helps to break down stain while simultaneously lifting it from fabric. Repeat this process until the stain has been removed.
Similar to club soda, white vinegar helps to break down stains. Mix one cup of warm water with one teaspoon of white vinegar. With a clean cloth, dip the cloth into the solution and carefully rub the stained area. Repeat until the stain has been removed.
If all else fails, use your trusty laundry detergent to get rid of the foundation stain. Simply apply a small amount of detergent to the stained area and let it sit for five minutes. Then rinse with cold water. If the stain persists, repeat the process.
Now that you've gotten rid of pesky stain, you'll want to take some measures to prevent future staining. Always use blotting papers when applying makeup to soak up any excess foundation or oil. Use gentle laundry detergents for washing and make sure to air-dry your clothes whenever possible.
