While it may be a daunting task, getting rid of feces stains on your wedges can be done quickly and easily if you know the proper steps. When cleaning up this mess, be sure to wear rubber gloves and use paper towels to remove any solids. Immediately wash any clothing or bedding nearby with hot water and detergent. Here are the steps to take:

  • Using gloves, carefully lift any solids from the wedge using paper towels and dispose of them in a sealed bag.
  • In a bucket, mix 1 part bleach and 10 parts water.
  • Gently soak the affected areas in the bleach solution for approximately 5 minutes.
  • Using a clean cloth, blot the area to remove the remaining residue.
  • Rinse the area with cool water and dry with a cloth.

If stain persists, try adding a little laundry detergent to the mix. Be sure to let the detergent sit for a few minutes before blotting. Keep in mind that while the aforementioned steps should work, different materials and fabrics may require different cleaning methods. If you’re still having trouble, consult a professional.
