How to Quickly Remove Feces Stains on Vans

Accidents happen and when they do, you might find yourself with a set of new problems. Feces stains can be difficult to remove from Vans, but with right tools and techniques, you can quickly get the job done.

What You'll Need

  • Gloves
  • Bucket
  • Mild detergent
  • Brush
  • Paper towels or cloth

Instructions

  1. Wear gloves before beginning the cleaning process. This will protect your hands from any bacteria or chemicals that may be present.
  2. Fill a bucket with hot water and a few drops of mild detergent. Do not use harsh detergents as it could damage the material of your Van.
  3. Dampen a paper towel or cloth in bucket with the detergent solution. Gently blot the stain in an up-and-down motion.
  4. Once majority of the stain has been removed, take a brush and scrub gently at the area. Focus on removing the remaining residue, being sure not to damage the material of the Van.
  5. Rinse the area with clean water to remove any remaining soap or chemicals, and then allow area to air dry.

Tips

  • If the stain is still visible after cleaning, apply a small amount of white vinegar to area, as this might help lift the stain.
  • Some types of Van material can be damaged by certain cleaning products, so be sure to test any cleaning agents in an inconspicuous area prior to use.
  • If the stain persists, contact a professional cleaner for advice.
