1. Blot the Feces Stain

It is important to act quickly whenever you encounter a feces stain. Begin by blotting up as much of the liquid and solid matter as possible using a clean cloth or paper towel. Keep in mind which way the garment is facing and make sure to blot away from center of the stain.

2. Pre-Treat with Detergent

Mix a tablespoon of laundry detergent or pre-treatment stain remover with two cups of cool water. Soak the affected area of Uniqlo garment in the solution for 10–15 minutes and then rinse the garment in cold water. Do not use hot water as the heat can set the stain further into the fabric.

3. Launder as Usual

Once the pre-treatment is complete, launder the garment according to Uniqlo’s label instructions. If the instructions indicate that the garment can be washed in a machine, use hottest water temperature allowed for the fabric type and add an enzyme-based detergent. If hand washing is recommended, do so with a mild detergent. Allow the garment to air dry.

4. Check to See if the Stain is Gone

If the stain has not completely disappeared, repeat steps 2 and 3. If stain still persists, consider using a specialty product such as an Oxygen-Based Stain Remover. Follow the package instructions and then launder the garment as directed.
