Supplies Needed
- Laundry detergent
- Hydrogen peroxide
- Borax
- White vinegar
- Old toothbrush
- Clean, dry cloths/towels
Instructions
- Put your Under Armour gear into a washing machine on a cold-water cycle. Do not add any laundry detergent, bleach, or fabric softener.
- Mix two tablespoons of hydrogen peroxide into one gallon of cold water. Pour it into the washing machine over the clothes and let them soak for up to 30 minutes.
- Add a half cup of Borax to the washing machine. Let it sit for another 30 minutes before turning on the wash cycle.
- Once the cycle is complete, check for any remaining feces stains on the apparel. If there are any, use an old toothbrush dipped in white vinegar to scrub the area and loosen the stain.
- Launder the clothes again, this time adding your preferred laundry detergent as you normally would. Air dry the garments (do not put them in the dryer).
Additional Tips and Warnings
- If the stain persists after laundering, repeat the process above.
- Do not add any bleach or fabric softener during the process as these products can damage the Under Armour material.
- Do not attempt to clean the garment in hot water as this can set in the stain, making it even harder to remove.
