Swimming pools are a great way to cool off during the summer, but no one wants their backyard oasis to be overrun by fecal stains. Luckily, there are several steps you can take to quickly and easily remove unwanted feces from the lining of your swimming pool.
The first step to cleaning fecal stains from your swimming pool liner is to gather the right tools for job. You'll need laundry detergent, a scrub brush, a large bucket of water, and a hose with a nozzle.
Spray the laundry detergent onto the stained areas of the pool liner and let it sit for a few minutes. This will help to break up the stain and make it easier to remove. Once the detergent has had a chance to work on the stain, you can begin scrubbing it with the brush.
Using the scrub brush and bucket of water, begin scrubbing the stained areas of pool liner. Start by using light pressure and increase your scrubbing intensity as stain starts to loosen. Be sure to rinse the brush often in the water to remove the debris that you are scrubbing off the pool liner.
Once you've finished scrubbing, use the hose with the nozzle to rinse the area thoroughly. This will help to remove any remaining debris or detergent. If the stain is still visible, you may need to repeat the process a few times until it is completely removed.
The best way to deal with fecal stains in your swimming pool liner is to prevent them from occurring in first place. Make sure that everyone who uses the pool is aware of the importance of proper hygiene and that they understand that feces must be disposed of properly. You should also consider installing a pet fence to prevent animals from entering the pool area.
