Eliminate Feces Stains from Swim Trunks With Simple Steps
No one wants to wear swim trunks with feces stains! Be it from a pet accident, diaper blowout, or any other cause, the mess needs to be cleaned up in order to wear them again. Luckily, with a few simple steps and the right supplies, you can quickly and effectively clean out any fecal stains on your swim trunks.

What You Will Need
- Bucket
- Cold Water
- Mild Soap (like dish soap)
- Cleaning Brush
- White Vinegar
Instructions
- Gently remove any solid waste from the swim trunks with a paper towel.
- Fill a bucket with cold water and add a tablespoon of mild soap.
- Mix the contents of the bucket and place the swim trunks in the bucket. Let it sit for a few minutes.
- Using the scrub brush, gently scrub the area to remove any fecal residue.
- Rinse the swim trunks off with cold water.
- If there is still a stain, fill the bucket with cold water and a cup of white vinegar and submerge the swim trunks once again. Let it sit for a half hour.
- Take out swim trunks and rinse them off. The stain should be gone.
Additional Tips
- Always use cold water to wash and rinse your swim trunks as hot water can set in stain.
- If the swim trunks have an odor, add a quarter cup of baking soda to the water with the mild soap and white vinegar.
- Do not place the swim trunks in the dryer until the stains are completely gone.
- For very stubborn stains, you can use a pre-treatment cleaner before you start the cleaning process.
