The first step to removing a feces stain from stockings is to pre-treat it. You can do this by soaking the item in cold water for 15 minutes and then rubbing some liquid laundry detergent into stain. Another option is to spray the stain with a specialized stain remover before laundering.
Once the stain is pre-treated, you can launder the stockings using the hottest water safe for the fabric, as well as a heavy-duty laundry detergent. Let the stockings soak for at least 15 minutes before washing on the highest setting.
After laundering, examine the stockings for any remaining fecal stains. If so, repeat the pre-treating and laundering processes until stain is completely removed.
Once all the stains have been removed, hang the stockings to dry instead of throwing them in the dryer. The heat of the dryer can cause set-in stains.
Once the stockings are completely dry, check them over to make sure all the stains are gone. If not, repeat the pre-treating and laundering process.
