What You’ll Need

  • Cloth or paper towels
  • Bowl
  • Cold water
  • Mild detergent
  • Enzyme-based stain remover
  • Stain protector

Step 1: Blot the Stain

Use cloth or paper towels to gently blot up any excess feces. Do not scrub or rub the fabric as this can make the stain worse.

Step 2: Cold Water Soak

Fill a bowl with cold water and a small amount of mild detergent. Place spandex in the bowl, making sure the affected area is submerged in the solution. Allow the fabric to soak for 10 minutes.

Step 3: Use an Enzyme-Based Stain Remover

Once the fabric has soaked, apply a small amount of enzyme-based stain remover to the affected area. Allow the stain remover to work for a few minutes before rinsing out with cold water.

Step 4: Apply a Stain Protector

To ensure that the stain does not reappear, apply a stain protector to the fabric. This will help prevent future stains and protect the fabric.

Step 5: Dry the Fabric

Once finished, hang spandex up to dry. Avoid placing the fabric in the dryer, as high temperatures can set the stain.
