Remove Feces Stains from Silk Shantung Easily & Quickly

What You'll Need:

  • Gallon of warm distilled water
  • Enzymatic stain remover
  • Gentle laundry detergent
  • Fabric brush or cloth
  • Vacuum cleaner with hose attachment

Instructions:

  1. Scrape off any excess solid fecal matter first, using a spoon or gentle brush.
  2. Mix together 1-2 tablespoons of enzyme cleaner with one gallon of warm distilled water.
  3. Dip a cloth or fabric brush into the mixture, then blot the stained area.
  4. Continue blotting until the stain lifts.
  5. If stain persists, use a vacuum cleaner with the hose attachment to remove any remaining residue.
  6. Once stain has been removed, rinse area with warm distilled water and blot dry.
  7. If needed, apply a gentle laundry detergent and work it into the fabric using a soft cloth or brush. Then rinse thoroughly.

Tips for Silk Shantung Care

  • Always test any cleaner on an inconspicuous area before using it on the stained fabric.
  • Never use hot water, as this can cause shrinkage and damage the fabric.
  • Avoid wiping the fabric with a hard scrubbing brush or too much pressure, as this can weaken or tear the fabric.
