First, use a lint roller to pick up any excess feces that has not yet been absorbed into the shearling's fibers. Carefully run the lint roller over the stained area until all solid matter is removed.
Mix together equal parts baking soda and water to create a thick paste. Spread the paste over the stained area and let it sit for 30 minutes.
Use a paper towel or cloth to blot away any remaining stain. Be sure to blot gently so as not to damage the fibers of the shearling.
Rinse the stained area with cold water and a soft-bristled brush. Be sure to brush in one direction only to avoid further matting the fibers.
Mix together ¼ cup of vinegar and 1 cup of cold water. Dab the solution on stained area using a soft cloth or paper towel. Let the solution sit for 30 minutes before blotting dry with a clean towel.
Once all the feces stains have been removed, you can toss your shearling item in the washing machine on a delicate cycle using cold water. Hang to dry.
