Ingredients

  • Borax
  • White vinegar
  • Lemon juice
  • Soap
  • Dishwashing liquid
  • Cold water

Step 1: Blotting the Stain

Start by blotting up any remaining fecal matter with a paper towel or an absorbent cloth. Do not rub the stain into the fabric – simply blot up any solids, and then move onto the next step.

Step 2: Create a Solution

Mix together a solution of equal parts borax and white vinegar. You should use cold water for this mixture. Add a few drops of dishwashing liquid and lemon juice for extra cleaning power. Stir this solution until it is well blended.

Step 3: Apply the Cleaning Solution

Once you have a cleaning solution prepared, you can apply it directly to the stained area. You should start from the outside of stain and work your way in towards the center. This will help prevent stain from spreading further.

Step 4: Rinse

Rinse stained area with cold water. This will help remove any soapy residue. Once you have finished rinsing, check that the stain has been completely removed. If it is still present, repeat steps 3 and 4 until it is gone.

Step 5: Dry and Inspect

Once you are satisfied that the stain has been removed, you can dry the satin fabric. Place the item on a clean towel and use a hairdryer to blow-dry the item. This process should take only a few minutes. Once it is done, inspect garment to make sure the stain is completely gone.
