Step 1: Scoop up any Solid Material

Using a spatula or plastic spoon, scoop up any solid material that may still be on the sarong. Dispose of the material in trash can.

Step 2: Rinse the Sarong with Cold Water

Rinsing the sarong with cold water will help to remove any remaining loose material and make it easier to apply the cleaning solution.

Step 3: Make a Cleaning Solution

Fill a bucket with one quart of cold water and two teaspoons of laundry detergent. Stir until the detergent is completely dissolved.

Step 4: Soak the Sarong in the Cleaning Solution

Place the sarong in the cleaning solution and let it soak for up to ten minutes. This will help loosen the stain so that it is easier to remove.

Step 5: Scrub the Stain

Using a soft-bristled scrub brush, gently scrub the stain. The cleaning solution will help to break down the stain and make it easier to remove.

Step 6: Rinse the Sarong with Clean Water

Use clean water to rinse the sarong and remove any remaining cleaning solution or debris.

Step 7: Dry the Sarong

Hang the sarong in a dry, well-ventilated area until it is completely dry. This will help prevent any remaining stains from setting in.

Other Tips

  • If the stain persists after following these steps, use a commercial enzyme-based cleaner to help break down the proteins in the feces.
  • Always test any cleaning solutions you use on a small, inconspicuous area of the fabric first to make sure there won't be any discoloration or damage.
  • If you are unable to remove the stain yourself, take the sarong to a professional cleaner for assistance.
