Use a dull knife or spoon to gently scrape off any solid waste from the rash guard. Do not press too hard, as you do not want to spread the mess or damage the fabric of rash guard.
In a sink or bucket filled with cold water, mix a tablespoon of detergent. Dip a soft cloth into the mixture and dab it gently on the stain. Let the pre-treatment sit for at least 10 minutes.
Rinse the pre-treated area under cold running water. Then, place the garment in the washing machine with a mild detergent, and set the cycle to “Cold or Delicate”.
Once the washing cycle is complete, hang the rash guard to dry in a well-ventilated area. Conduct a smell test to check for any remaining odors. If necessary, repeat Steps 2 and 3.
