Before you begin cleaning, make sure you have all the supplies you need. You will need a scraping tool, paper towels, warm water, enzyme cleaner, a sponge, an old toothbrush, white vinegar, and baking soda.
Carefully scrape away any solid waste from bed with a plastic spoon or other scraping tool. Place paper towels over area to absorb any liquid. Discard the scraping tool, paper towels, and feces in a sealed plastic bag for disposal.
In a bowl, mix together one teaspoon of enzyme cleaner with two cups of warm water. Submerge the sponge in the solution and wring out any excess liquid.
Gently rub the bed with the soapy sponge in a circular motion. You should concentrate your efforts on the stained areas. Once you have removed as much of the stain as you can, rinse the area with a damp cloth.
Using a paper towel, blot remaining stain until most of the moisture is gone. Apply a small amount of white vinegar while continuing to blot the area.
Sprinkle baking soda on and around the affected area. Use an old toothbrush to gently rub baking soda into the surface. The baking soda will absorb the remaining odor. Use the damp cloth to wipe away any excess baking soda.
Allow bed to air dry completely. If stain is still visible after the bed has dried, repeat Steps 3-7. Be sure to clean the bed regularly to prevent future accidents.
By following these seven easy steps, anyone can quickly and easily eliminate fecal stains from pet beds. Taking the time to properly clean pet beds helps keep them looking and smelling their best.
