Cleaning Feces Stains from Your Parka: A Step-by-Step How-To Guide

With the right instructions, however, you can easily remove these stains and make your parka look like new.

Materials & Supplies Needed
- Dish soap
- White vinegar
- Borax powder
- Hydrogen peroxide
- Small container or bucket
- Old toothbrush
- Towel
- Laundry detergent
Instructions
- Mix 2-4 tablespoons of dish soap with 2 cups of warm water in the small container or bucket.
- Soak the stained area of the parka in the soapy mixture for 10 minutes. Use an old toothbrush to scrub stain to help loosen the debris.
- Rinse the parka with cold water to remove the soapy mixture.
- Mix together 1 tablespoon of white vinegar, 1 tablespoon of borax, and 1 cup of hydrogen peroxide. Stir the mixture until it is blended.
- Apply the mixture to the feces stain and leave it on for 15 minutes. If needed, use toothbrush to scrub the stain again.
- Using a towel, blot up any excess liquid.
- Wash the parka in a washing machine, using laundry detergent, according to the manufacturer's instructions.
- Allow the parka to air dry before wearing it.
Additional Tips
- If the stain does not come out after following the steps above, you may need to repeat the process. In some cases, you may need to treat the stain more than once.
- It is important to act quickly when dealing with feces stains. The faster you treat the stain, the better chance you will have at removing it.
