What You'll Need

  • Heavy-duty cleaner
  • Dry cloth
  • Bucket of warm water
  • Stiff brush
  • Vacuum cleaner

Step One: Prepare Your Work Area

Before attempting to tackle the stain, sweep the surrounding area and vacuum any excess dirt from the fabric. This will make it easier for the stain to be removed and improve overall effectiveness of the cleaning.

Step Two: Apply Heavy-duty Cleaner

Apply a generous amount of heavy-duty cleaner to the affected area and let it sit for five minutes. This will break down the stain and make it easier to dislodge.

Step Three: Scrub the Stain

Using a stiff brush, scrub the stain in a circular motion until all of the cleaner has been rubbed into the fabric. Pay close attention to the edges of the stain as this is where the cleaner will have most effect.

Step Four: Rinse the Stain

Using a bucket of warm water and a dry cloth, gently dab the stained area to remove the cleaner. Take care not to rub too hard, or you may damage the fabric. Once all of the cleaner has been removed, let the area air dry.

Step Five: Vacuum

Using a vacuum cleaner, vacuum affected area to remove any remaining debris. After this final step, the stain should be completely gone and your outdoor furniture should look good as new!
