What You'll Need

  • Rubbing alcohol
  • Hydrogen peroxide
  • Warm water
  • Detergent
  • Soft cloth
  • Vacuum cleaner

Step 1: Blot the Stain with a Soft Cloth

First, use a soft cloth to blot up as much of the feces stain as possible. Be sure not to rub, as this could spread the stain further.

Step 2: Soak the Stain with Rubbing Alcohol

Next, use a clean cloth soaked in rubbing alcohol to try and remove the stain. Let the cloth sit on the stain for a few minutes before removing it. The alcohol should help break down stain.

Step 3: Apply Hydrogen Peroxide

If the stain remains, apply a bit of hydrogen peroxide to the affected area. Again, let it sit for a few minutes before blotting it up with a cloth.

Step 4: Wash with Warm Water and Detergent

Finally, if stain is still visible, create a mixture of warm water and detergent. Use a soft cloth to gently scrub the stain with the mixture before blotting the area dry.

Step 5: Vacuum the Area

Once the stain is removed, vacuum the area to ensure all excess dirt and debris have been removed.
