To remove fresh poo stains from muslin cloth, you should soak the stained area in warm water as quickly as possible. Then, gently rub the stain with mild detergent. Make sure to rinse the spot until all of the soap is gone. For extra cleansing power, add 1-2 tablespoons of hydrogen peroxide to your wash.
If the poo stain is dry, sprinkle some baking soda onto the area and let it sit for at least 10 minutes. Then, use a brush to scrub stain. As before, rinse the area with warm water and mild detergent. In some cases, you may need to repeat this process multiple times to fully remove the stain.
To prevent future stains on your muslin cloth, consider using a prewash spray that is designed to remove difficult stains before laundering. You can also create a mixture of baking soda and white vinegar to use as a spot cleaner on the cloth. This will help to break down proteins in the stain and make it easier to wash later.
While cleaning poop stains from muslin can be a daunting task, it’s not impossible. Use these tips to properly tackle both fresh and dried stains and keep your muslin cloth looking good as new.
