1. Pre-treat the Stain

If the stain is fresh, begin by blotting up as much of the liquid as possible with a paper towel. To pre-treat stain, apply an enzyme-based detergent directly onto the area and let it sit for 5-10 minutes. If you don’t have enzyme detergent, dish soap will work as well.

2. Rinse & Repeat

Once the pre-treatment has had a chance to sit, rinse area with cold water. Be sure to use your fingers to lightly scrub stain while rinsing it. After the area is thoroughly rinsed, you can move on to laundering the garment.

3. Wash in Cold Water & Bleach

Set your washing machine on delicate cycle and use cold water. To get rid of the stain more effectively, add ¼ cup of bleach to load. Again, be sure to use cold water for the entire cycle to prevent the stain from setting in further. Once the cycle is finished, check the area for any remaining stains.

4. Air-Dry

If the stain is still present after washing and rinsing, repeat steps 1-3. Once the stain is gone, hang the garments on a drying rack or lay flat to air dry. Do not put the garment in the dryer until you’re sure the stain is completely gone, or else the stain could set even further.
