What You Need

  • Cold water
  • Mild laundry detergent
  • A clean white cloth

Step 1: Blotting

As soon as you notice a feces stain on your jersey, start blotting the affected area with a clean white cloth. Do not rub or scrub the fabric – that can cause the stain to spread and go deeper into the fibers.

Step 2: Soaking

Once you are done blotting, fill a bucket or bowl with cold water and add a mild laundry detergent. Submerge the stained area of the jersey in the soapy water and let it soak for 10 to 15 minutes. This will help loosen up the debris and make it easier to remove the stain.

Step 3: Washing

Once the jersey has soaked for at least 10 minutes, rinse garment in cold water and launder it using your normal washing machine cycle. Make sure to use the gentle cycle and cold water to avoid any further damage to the fabric. After the cycle is complete, hang your jersey to dry.
