Things You Will Need

- warm water
- washing machine
Instructions
- As soon as possible after the accident occurs, take a few dry paper towels and attempt to blot up as much of the moisture as possible.
- Gently rub the affected area with an enzyme-based stain remover. Be sure not to rub too hard as this could damage the garment.
- Allow the clothes to soak for about 15 minutes in a sink of warm water.
- After the clothes have soaked for allotted amount of time, rinse them off with cold water and then transfer to the washing machine.
- Launder the items as you normally would, using the hottest water setting recommended on the care label.
- Once the cycle is finished, inspect the area to make sure it is completely free of any traces of feces.
Tips and Warnings
- Optionally, you may spray some vinegar onto the clothing after the wash cycle to help neutralize the odors.
- Be sure to read the care labels on the garment before attempting any of these methods.
- Always test the remover on an inconspicuous area of the garment first.
