Before beginning this project, you'll need to gather a few materials. You'll need:
Using a soft-bristled toothbrush, gently brush away any excess fecal matter from earplug. Be sure not to press too firmly, as that may damage the earplug.
Fill a small bowl with warm water and a few drops of mild dish soap. Place the earplug in solution and let soak for about 10 minutes. This will help remove any additional residue that didn’t come off with the soft-bristled toothbrush.
Carefully remove the earplug from the soapy water and place it onto a soft cloth. Gently rub the earplug with the cloth to remove any remaining residue. Be sure not to rub too hard, or you may damage the earplug.
If there are still stubborn residues left on the earplug, use cotton swabs and white vinegar to remove them. Moisten a cotton swab with a few drops of white vinegar, and then gently rub it over the affected area. Repeat until all the residue has been removed.
Once the earplug is clean, set it aside and let it air dry for a few hours. This will ensure that no moisture remains and that the earplug is completely free of any debris.
Cleanliness is key when it comes to earplugs. With these simple steps, you can make sure your earplugs are free of any feces residue and can continue to provide you with the noise cancellation and comfort you deserve.
