Step 1: Blot the Stain

Start by blotting away as much of the feces as possible with a cloth or paper towel. Never rub or scrub stain, since this will cause the fibers of the cotton twill to mat down and lock the stain in.

Step 2: Pre-Treat the Stain

Mix together a solution of water, white vinegar, and washing detergent. Apply the mixture directly onto stain, and let it sit for about 30 minutes. This will allow the mixture to penetrate and break down the stain particles.

Step 3: Wash the Fabric

Once the pre-treatment has had time to set in, put the fabric in the washing machine with a normal load of laundry detergent. If you are worried about the smell still lingering after washing, try adding a cup of baking soda to the load for additional odor control.

Step 4: Check for Any Remaining Stains

Once the fabric has been washed, lay it out and inspect it for any remaining stains. If there are still some traces of the stain, re-apply the pre-treatment and let it sit for another 30 minutes before re-washing.

Step 5: Dry the Fabric

Once you have finished washing the fabric, move it to the dryer and dry on low heat. It's important not to dry the fabric at a high temperature, since heat can permanently set the stain.

By following these simple steps, you'll be able to remove stubborn feces stains from cotton twill in no time!
