Steps For Cleaning Feces Stains Out of Chinos:
- As soon as possible, scrape off any excess solids from affected area with a blunt object like a plastic spoon.
- Saturate the stained area with a pre-wash stain remover. Wait for 5 to 10 minutes for it to work its magic.
- Using cold water, rinse off pre-wash stain remover and press with a paper towel to take up any excess moisture.
- If the stain remains, apply a liquid laundry detergent directly to the stain and let it sit for 5 minutes.
- Using cold water, agitate the fabric slightly with your thumbs and then rinse off the detergent.
- Soak the stained area in a bucket of cool water and a few drops of liquid laundry detergent for 30 minutes.
- Launder the trousers with cold water using a mild detergent and fabric softener.
- If the stain persists, repeat the above steps as needed.
Additional Tips For Best Results:
- Avoid using hot water or high heat during washing or drying as this can set stain.
- Do not use bleach or other harsh chemicals as these can damage the fabric.
- If the chinos are very badly soiled, it may be best to take them to the dry cleaner.
