Step 1: Gather Your Supplies

To clean fecal stains off of your chambray fabric, you will need some basic cleaning supplies. These include:

  • Clean cloth
  • Mild liquid laundry detergent
  • Cold water

Step 2: Blot the Stain

To remove the feces stain from your chambray fabric, start by blotting the area with a clean cloth. Do not rub or scrub material harshly as this may cause the stain to spread. Instead, gently press the cloth against the area in a patting motion.

Step 3: Make a Solution

Once you have blotted the stain, you will need to make a cleaning solution. To do so, mix 1 teaspoon of mild liquid laundry detergent with 1 cup of cold water. Stir the mixture together until it is well-blended.

Step 4: Apply the Solution

Now, dip a clean cloth into the solution and then apply it to the stained area of fabric. Rub area gently in a circular motion for about 15 seconds. Once the solution has had time to soak into the fabric, rinse it off with cool water.

Step 5: Dry the Fabric

After rinsing the solution off, use a clean cloth to dry the fabric. It is important not to leave fabric wet as this could lead to mold and mildew growth. Once the fabric is dry, check to make sure that the stain has been lifted.
