Get the Feces Out: How to Clean Poop Stains From Your Business Attire

Step 1: Gather Materials

Gather the following materials before beginning: a clean white cloth, detergent, vinegar, baking soda, hydrogen peroxide, and a toothbrush.

Step 2: Blot the Stain

With a clean cloth, gently blot stain to remove as much of the moisture as possible. Make sure to use a clean cloth each time you blot the stain.

Step 3: Pre-Treat With Detergent

Mix a small amount of detergent with cool water and apply the solution to the stain using a soft cloth or brush. Rub gently in a circular motion until the stain starts to fade.

Step 4: Rinse With Water

Rinse affected area with cold water and pat dry with a clean cloth.

Step 5: Soak With Vinegar

In a basin or sink, soak the garment in a mixture of one cup of vinegar and two cups of cold water for 15 minutes. After soaking, rinse the garment with cold water and pat dry with a clean cloth.

Step 6: Sprinkle Baking Soda

Sprinkle a generous amount of baking soda over the remaining stain and rub gently with a toothbrush. Rinse with cold water and pat dry.

Step 7: Apply Hydrogen Peroxide

If the stain is still visible after rinsing, apply a small amount of hydrogen peroxide to the stain and let sit for about 10 minutes. Rinse with cold water and pat dry.

Step 8: Launder As Normal

If the stain has been completely removed, launder the garment as normal. If the stain is still visible, repeat the above steps before attempting to launder.
