Gather Your Materials
You'll need the following materials before you start cleaning:
- Vinegar
- Baking soda
- Old toothbrush
- Laundry detergent
- Water
- Soft cloths
Clean Stain
Using an old toothbrush, gently scrub the stain with a mixture of vinegar and baking soda. Make sure to use a light hand so as not to damage fabric. Once the stain is thoroughly scrubbed, rinse it off with lukewarm water and then blot with a soft cloth.
Wash the Fabric
Fill a bucket or sink with lukewarm water and add a few squirts of laundry detergent. Submerge stained area and let it soak for about 30 minutes. Swish the fabric around in the detergent solution periodically to help loosen any remaining stain residue. Once you've finished soaking the fabric, ring it out and lay it flat so that it can dry.
